In a regular duel against a computer, can you transform from goku into super sayin goku during the fight, or do you have to choose super sayin goku before the fight begins?

I need help on this because the Wii version has an online feature while the PS2 Version has “Disc Fusion” which allows you to insert BT1 or BT2 in the console for a special Game Mode.
